Ableton is one of the most celebrated music production software’s out there in the market. It can handle various things that you throw at it. Starting from sound design to hard-core music composition you can do it all in Ableton.
There is some music production software like logic pro x. it’s exclusive to mac alone. Windows users can only dream of using that. Let’s talk about the other guy called the garage band.
Nope, there is no way that a windows user can get his hands on them because they aren’t available for windows.
When you look at fl studio then you will be hitting another end of the spectrum where the software is only available for windows finally two years ago they released for mac as well.

Yes, you can get Ableton on windows. According to Ableton if the system includes 4GB RAM and 500GB hard disk then it should be able to run without any issues in a windows system.
System setup for Ableton in windows

- OS X 10.11.6
- Intel® Core™2 Duo processor
- 4 GB RAM
as you can see above the requirements for windows are pretty low. You can even start with a windows 7 installed laptop or a pc with at least 4GB RAM. This is where most people start and then expand into something nicer and more efficient.
when you look at mac, it’s the same thing. You cannot give excuses saying I don’t have enough specs to use Ableton. Where Ableton can be used in any laptop or device that is manufactured after 2014.
You don’t need an overclocked system to use Ableton in your system. You might need it when you are proficient in using Ableton. When you start you don’t have to worry about this at all.

Program files in windows
Sometimes when you are trying to find the location of the Ableton directory in windows. It’s something that everybody struggles with because you will not find Ableton in the normal program files directory in your C drive or any drive where you have your program files.
You can find able ton somewhere like this,
C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 10 Suite\Program
You will find all the windows Ableton files here.
If you want to change the icons you can change that in,
C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 10 Suite\Resources\Icons
If you want to add new themes to Ableton you can add that here in
C:\ProgramData\Ableton\Live 10 Suite\Resources\Themes

Configuring program files in windows
Let’s say you bought a new hardware product and the midi keyboard is not configuring properly to your Ableton. you can do that by going to this location and editing your script for that midi keyboard.

When I was trying to configure NI kompelte control S49 I had trouble configure and I had to go and edit the particular script in word.it was very easy you wouldn’t even require any coding knowledge to do this.
It doesn’t matter which version or which program you use to make music the result is always going to be the same. The difference comes in the form of the only variable that is us.

If you are starting music production I would advise you to look at it on both ways in terms of business and as passion.
If you are not able to see in both ways you will struggle to make things happen.you might spend hours making music but you won’t even make a single dime out of it.
